“Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them,

and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

But it shall not be so among you:

but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto,

but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:25-28, KJV)

The word the Athenians used for their Assembly was Ekklesia, the same word used in the New Testament for Church
(and it is the greatest philological irony in all of Western history that this word,
which connoted equal participation in all deliberation by all members,
came to designate a kind of self-perpetuating, self-protective Spartan gerousia -
which would have seemed patent nonsense to Greek-speaking Christians of New Testament times,
who believed themselves to be equal members of their Assembly.)

9x52=467+1=The Ultimate Hypocrisy !

We were treated to a big surprise this week.
After 467 weeks (almost 9 years)in this community the proistameno of Prophet Elias only(?) took the initiative
to treat us to his first weekly bulletin(surprise-surprise) for BOTH churches!

One is left to wonder why now, why 9 years later, where has he been all this time?
Why Prophet Elias was open when we were celebrating the name day of Holy Trinity?
Holy Trinity closed as it should to celebrate Prophet Elias name day.
Why Fr.Kouremetis disregarded a half century tradition?
Why on the choir conference week both churches were open instead all of us celebrating together in one church? It seems that the "drilling" at Prophet Elias goes on anytime we have out of town visitors to show them
the "miracle"?

"Καθε θαυμα τρεις μερες,το μεγαλο τεσσερις".

Do not expect too many "weekly messages" in the future.
It was either done because he got pressure from above or to let my imagination run wild,
was this a try to see if the office personnel from Prophet Elias is competent to do the job for the new
Parish that so hard he is trying to form despite the Holy Synod's directive?
The near future will tell!

It was Holy Trinity's fault for closing on the feast day of Prophet Elias, it should never have been done. The P.E. employee wants to play games, lets give him games. What about the dance groups not being allowed to use the building and having to practice outside at the P.E. "picnic stand". Where are all the deputies and why are they allowing things like this to happen. They are the ones in charge, not the employee of P.E. only. The "weekly message" from Holy Trinity & Prophet Elias to Marshall Dillon, "giddy up" now.

I don't think the criticism is fair. Imagine how much time it takes to systematically destroy the community and to invent miracles. That's hard work.

Wake up community and take charge. We are so far in the hole we may never recover. I say lock the doors call a meeting and decide what we as a community want to do. Jim Kastanis

Bill, some of the kids in the dance groups are forced to practice on the outside basketball courts in the hot August sun. They have no access to water or bathroom facilities. All because the appointed and illegal "parish council" can't afford someone to unlock the doors.

When will we put an end to this abuse of our children?

Steve, we need to start firing the employees, those children own the facilities not the employees. I understand one night employees were inside and did not offer or did not allow the children inside to dance. Christianity. Steve, the end of the child abuse will come when authorities are called. Jim, you have my vote, lock up the churches and fire them all.
