“Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them,

and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

But it shall not be so among you:

but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto,

but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:25-28, KJV)

The word the Athenians used for their Assembly was Ekklesia, the same word used in the New Testament for Church
(and it is the greatest philological irony in all of Western history that this word,
which connoted equal participation in all deliberation by all members,
came to designate a kind of self-perpetuating, self-protective Spartan gerousia -
which would have seemed patent nonsense to Greek-speaking Christians of New Testament times,
who believed themselves to be equal members of their Assembly.)

Nick,
Please find attached a letter and resolution directing a change to the signers on the Campaign account at HighTower.
These documents were drafted some time ago but I have held back from sending them to you as I am aware of your concerns regarding Parish Council elections. Since it was announced today that elections will be held, it is my hope that you will honor the directives of our Hierarchs and execute this change.
Thanks for your help,
Phill

First of all if elections will take place it MUST be for 15 and not 7.
The existing PC is ILLEGAL.
They are incompetent to do ANY constructive work
for the parish for many months now.
The money was raised by people that LOVE our community, all others step aside...

This is funny. The Five Stooges want control of the money. Very funny indeed.

Funny isn't that Petrogeorge as of May 9 2011 was the secretary(didn't he resign end of February???)!!!
So do we have 2 secretaries or one of them is just decorative figure? In the "old country" we say:Το εξυπνο πουλι απο τη μυτη πιανεται!!
