The word the Athenians used for their Assembly was Ekklesia, the same word used in the New Testament for Church

Our President's Work

On March 24, 2011 we received a letter from Archbishop Demetrios on behalf of the Holy Eparchial Synod. The Archbishop writes "Similarly, the Prophet Elias corporation will be formally dissolved and no separate trade names will be filed with the state of Utah for Holy Trinity and Prophet Elias."  (Click here  to read the original letter)

The corporation filed with the State of Utah on March 30, 2010 was renewed on March 9, 2011.  As of this date, it has not been dissolved as per the Archbishop's letter. (Click here to see the filing with the State of Utah)  In addition, on March 9, 2011 a DBA was established with the State of Utah in the name of Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church  by the president of this community.  (Click ΗΕRE to view the filing)

Is it a coincidence that the "new" stewardship card which was devised some two months later is in the same name?  Under whose direction did our president establish this second entity?  Maybe the time has come for him to be honest and tell us how this has transpired.  Why are both entities still active with the State of Utah?
